Why NBA 2K23 is based on PS4 and Xbox One on PC

During the NBA 2K23 Q&A session, there was a question about whether they plan to bring the next-gen NBA 2K game to PC and Nintendo Switch in the future.

But “for now, our focus is on making sure NBA 2K23 is optimized for the new consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S). It’s the same answer they gave in their NBA 2K22 Q&A last year. NBA 2K23 is the third game to exclude PCs from technological improvements in next-generation consoles.

This is also what FIFA does in FIFA 22. The reason is that they want to keep the minimum requirements as low as possible. Combining the technical improvements in the PS5 and Series X versions means that the minimum requirements will be greatly increased. Leaving some potential users out of the possibility of buying.

NBA 2K23 Trailer
